WiFi Manager

Includes home screen widgets: one displays detailed connection info, another lets you switch among your favorite networks with a single tap, and yet another toggles WiFi Access Point.
New and improved
- Better graphics, including a dark color theme;
- Assign your own descriptions and icons to individual WiFi networks - never forget what that "XYZ1234" network is;
- Switch among your favorite networks with a single tap by using the WiFi Network Switcher widget. It will even enable WiFi if needed.
- Automatic switching between fixed and dynamic (DHCP) IP addresses (Android Settings in 2.* can't do this);
Some features require that you purchase the $1.75 premium package, available right in the application through Google Checkout (safe, secure).
These features are: advanced per-network options (description, icon, IP address), the one-tap network widget, and two widget themes inspired by Android 4.0.
All the other - essential - features are free: the widget with detailed connection info (four sizes, two free themes), scanning and connecting to networks, the network list view, the network signal radar.
Orders are processed and saved by Google and can be reactivated after a phone reset / flash, or on a new phone.
About requested permissions
"Change system settings" is needed to switch between fixed and dynamic IP addresses, if configured so.
"Prevent phone from sleeping" is needed so you can enable automatic scanning and discover open networks around you.
"Market billing service" is needed to make purchases.
Since version 2.5, supports per-network IP address and proxy server settings on Android 3.* / 4.*, included in the free version.

Comments
- Android's WPA Enterprise/802.1x wiFi settings are broken. It is a huge pain in the butt to try connecting to one of these networks. Some people have luck with the default wiFi settings options. Others have to resort to apps that allow better customization of the settings. I've tried a few different apps for this, and nothing has worked. WiFi Advanced Config Editor seems to be the favorite out there, but it doesn't work for Nexus yet. I paid $3 for another one, whose name I forget, and it didn't work. FINALLY this app came to the rescue. I had to tweak a couple settings, but it connected me when others couldn't. Thanks, WiFi Manager!
- I am using the premium version for the really useful functionality. The visual view of available networks representing signal strength coupled with channel information in Radar Mode is brilliant! I emailed the developer asking what the various predefined state icons meant and he responded within 10 minutes! - Having tried (and paid for) a number of auto switching apps I was still not happy. I decided to give this app a go because I was so impressed with the developers email app. By paying a small in-app premium I get a widget that allows me to switch wi-fi networks at a single push (ok, two, because I have parked the widget in the small apps tray on the Sony Tablet S). The result, I have control of my wi-fi network - including being able to switch between wi-fi signals in my home (or elsewhere) at the touch of a widget.
- Love this Wi-Fi manager. Look and feel is smooth and polished, fantastic widgets. Very functional, I never use anything else to manage my connections. For rooted phones, it lacks the ability to retrieve saved wireless passwords. I left this app for another one with that ability, but then I came back because this app is just the best. (I open the other only when I need to get a password.)
- Seriously I dont know what I did without it. Im a person who turns his wifi on and off frequently and sometimes public wifi system changes the channel and my phone couldnt grab wifi. But thanks to this app now I get to grab wifi anyway I want. Wanna give u fifty stars but my star is worth ten times the others LOL best freakin five star app ever.
- awesome app!! I am serious this app is the most useful app ever. I always suffer the wifi problem in my Galaxy S3 cuz the speed is really slow, my router is fine. However, since I use this app and setup from 2.4. GHz 12 to 2.4 14 GHz, all the problem are fixed. Thank u very much. And also it's free! Amazing!

- If you're looking for a solid, dependable app that finds quality wifi hot spots, get this. It is absolutely top notch and will zone in on the best hot spots in your location. Excellent.
- Google Nexus ICS. Works great! Finally an all in one WiFi app, finds signals, shows signal strength in radar, connects to know signals and let's you know when there's a new signal!
