Certain permissions are necessary to access specific app functions and features.
Location Permissions: To determine current user location to display nearby stores and provide mapping directions.
Screen Permissions: To display the appropriate view when the device is rotated.
Telephony Permissions: To enable the user to call a Walgreens store directly from the app.
Touchscreen Permissions: To allow user to enable touchscreen activity when using the app.
Camera, Vibrate Flashlight and WiFi Permissions: To use the Transfer Prescription by Scan and Refill by Scan features.
Store and Receive Boot Completed Permissions: To store certain, non-personal information—such as reminders.
There is no charge to download the Walgreens App, but specified rates from your wireless provider and other fees as noted in your Walgreens account agreement(s) still apply.
- Due to state and federal laws, points cannot be earned on some items. Points will not be awarded to anyone who currently is or was at any time in the 6 months prior to purchasing Pharmacy Items covered by Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare or any other government-funded healthcare program. Pharmacy Items must be purchased at participating Walgreens Drugstore, Rxpress, Duane Reade, or Walgreens Pharmacy locations ("Participating Stores") to earn points. Excludes Pharmacy Items purchased from AR, NJ or NY pharmacies and prescriptions transferred to a Participating Store located in AL, MS, OR or PR. - This is a fantastic app for the here-and-now Walgreens. A couple of years ago there really would not have been much use for something like this, but with all of the expansion in programs and products Walgreens has rolled out in the last year ( point system, their new Nice! brand products, hooking up with Express Scripts again) this app really serves a purpose. I love being able to pull up my card and show it to the cashier to scan, and the prescription refill/transfer feature is super handy. Great work!
- I can refill the majority of my multitudinous prescriptions with a few keystrokes. Too bad that there are addicts, abusers, and dealers that cause me, as well as millions of other legitimate patients, inconvenience, expense, and much difficulty in having to go to my specialist monthly to get certain medications refilled via paper prescription since Federal, and State law prohibits electronically filling, and refilling my prescriptions for these much needed medications that I'll be taking for life.
- This app is really good! My favorite is the prescription refills. As someone in the maintenence phase of chemotherapy, I have to prescription meds every night. This app makes refilling so much easier and makes life simpler for anyone in general who has to take prescription meds frequently! Great app!
- This app works perfect. It even helped the doctor clarify what I was taking. If you are out of town it is a breeze to refill. Walk into any Walgreen's and no calling or hassles. The great part is you have all your pertinent info locked away in one spot with you all the time.

- I love the latest update especially the ability to set medication reminders, although I would like the ability to customize sounds for these reminders, vibration is not effective unless your phone is on your person.
- Love this app.!! Can't say enough about it! The newly added "pill reminder" is a blessing! My hubby has Alzheimers Disease, and always turns off my alarm clock, which I use as my reminder.
- I should have downloaded this a long time ago. I certainly recommended that everyone who gets their medicine from Walgreens, get this app.
