TunesRemote+
TunesRemote+ helps you remote control your DACP-compatible desktop or laptop media player from your Android device, such as MonkeyTunes for MediaMonkey, Telescope for Songbird, foo_touchremote for Foobar2000, and AlbumPlayer. Use your Android devices as a two way WLAN music remote control! Supports both mobile phone and tablet interfaces.

The project was not being updated on Android Market yet many bug fixes and enhancements had been made by the community. Many Android owners had contacted the team about releasing an updated version on the market to no avail. Thus, the TunesRemote+ project was born so the project could live on and advance in the Android Market while being maintained by a larger group of members. The code is hosted on Google Code where issues, bugs, and patches may be submitted.

- Not sure why iTunes isn't mentioned in the description, but TunesRemote+ works great with it. I tried pairing several other iTunes remotes from the Android Market, but none of them would successfully connect. I had the same problem initially with TunesRemote, but luckily it has a manual configuration option that worked great (none of the other apps I tried have that feature). Just bring up manual config from the menu and specify the IP address of the system where iTunes is running. Even better, TunesRemote seems to have the best feature set.
- The app auto detects your laptop with itunes running, you connect to it and your phone shows up in the list in on the left in itunes. Enter the code the app gives you and its ready to go. Works great. Who needs an AirPort express when you can just use a free remote? :)
- This was the second MediaMonkey remote I tried and it by far is the best. There are some things you can't do that other apps allow, but as far as playing songs and playlists and searching music, this is the best. Highly recommend.
- Works perfectly. No server software necessary, and switches between libraries on PC and Mac without a hitch. Developers are quick to address any bugs, and it's free and ad-free. What more could you possibly want?
- had been looking for a remote for my iTunes for ages. This one comes with no ads and is easy to set up. Only grip is that the user interface is really basic looking.
