SoundWire lets you send any music or audio ("what you hear now") from your Windows or Linux PC to your Android mobile devices, or other PCs. Use it as:
- A wireless extension of your PC-based music system for parties
- A remote headphone amp (wireless headphones)
- A way to listen to music and movies from your computer anywhere in your house or out on your deck.
The full version of SoundWire enables unlimited Opus audio compression, can handle up to 10 connections at the same time, and has no ads or interruptions. It also has a special Pro Mode to set and display buffer latency precisely in milliseconds. You can use any music player on your PC or laptop like Grooveshark, Spotify, YouTube, or iTunes and feed the live sound directly to your Android device. SoundWire lets you listen to the free versions of Grooveshark and Spotify on your phone.
SoundWire has low latency (audio delay), which means it can even be used to listen to the soundtrack of a movie or YouTube video while you watch (**Note you must adjust the buffer size in app settings for low latency). There are other uses too... SoundWire can work as a baby monitor or listening device with a computer such as a netbook that has a built-in microphone. Hook up turntables to your computer's line input and stream a live DJ set to another part of the house over WiFi, or anywhere else over 3G/4G.

Before using SoundWire on your Android device you must install and run the SoundWire Server application on the Windows/Linux PC or laptop which is your source of music, web audio streaming, or other sounds. Download the server at

For example if you get choppy audio try restarting your wireless router, then try the other troubleshooting suggestions in the guide. If you get a message saying the app is not licensed and this message is incorrect then please check your internet connection and try again.

- Network communication: Communicates with the server program on your PC.
- Phone calls: Mutes audio when you receive or make a call. Without this permission music would continue to play, interfering with your call.
- Prevent phone from sleeping: Keeps app running while connected (playing music) or attempting to connect. May be disabled in settings.

- Used the ear-buds on my phone last night to listen to a film without waking up the baby. There's a slight delay ( less so when lowering the quality ) but it was acceptable. Besides, you can always adjust the audio delay in VLC if you really want perfect sync. Functionality is there, that's why you get my 5 stars. But really, the GUI could use some work. Pressing the icon to start connecting is not really intuitive. Just have a button labelled "CONNECT" would have saved me 60 seconds of looking around. And the windows application looks like a prototype instead of the really neat software it actually is.
- Needed something to stream PC audio to phone so could listen to tv audio around the house and away from home. Setup a streaming server that works well with xiaa live app, but then found this which is almost perfect. Just needs some minor tweaks. 1. Add 32k compression option. For listening to mostly talking thats plenty, saves phone data on 3G, and more reliable. 2. Option to auto connect to a dif server depending on connection type, ie 3G, specific WIFI connection. 3. Option to extend buffer more, ie for reliable use in moving vehicle. All that and it'd be perfect.
- This is really an awesome app! It does exactly what is written and does it great! * No noticeable delay in a streaming so I can what's video in sync * There's a choose what sound source to capture - it helped to make it work with multiple sound cards and even with odd sound card driver (delta44 under win64 is buggy) It's really Amazing! - I had an old free edition. I would constantly get frustrated because I had at random times a constant choppy sound. I was curious about the new compression feature, so I decided to buy it. One word: AMAZING. I haven't heard a single choppy sound, and the quality hasn't suffered at all. Best Android app I've ever bought.
- I tried at least a half dozen streaming apps looking for one that could send a live audio feed to multiple Android devices. My searches were only turning up dlna clients which are all well and good, but they won't broadcast live sound and can't keep playback of files in synch. This one does what I need it to. Hooray!
- Started with the free version but later had to support developer about this jewel, also need to mention with 1.6 update bandwidth usage went from 200kbps to 20kbps with no quality loss, also when pressing mute it drops to even 0, nice tune up! A must, this was what i was looking for
- Spent a fair bit of time trying to find a program like this. Almost everything else relied on third party servers or had a complete music management gui. All I wanted was a satellite for my AV and this program does the job perfectly. Cheers.
- The free version of this app doesn't show what this app can really do. Only thing I don't like is the design of the app but that's not a problem seeing as it does exactly what it says it does.
- I use it to make my android into a pair of wireless headphones for late night Netflix watching. I changed the audio buffer to 16k and the compression to 256kbps and it works flawlessly.
- Amazing job on the app. I use it to stream audio from my PC when I'm gaming on my HDTV and after adjusting the audio buffer size the audio is perfectly in sync and works flawlessly.
