SMS Backup +
Automatically backup SMS, MMS and call log entries using a separate label in Gmail / Google Calendar. It is also possible to restore SMS and call log entries back to the phone (MMS not supported yet).
Remember to enable IMAP in Gmail.
Please note that auto backup might not work reliably when SMS Backup+ is installed on the SD card. Future version will hopefully fix this, in the meantime please move it back to phone memory if possible.

- I ported my number away from Google Voice because of it's lack of MMS and Group SMS support. I was really bummed about losing the ability to search through my SMS messages like I could with GV. I didn't realize how useful searching through old SMS was until recently when I lost a phone number that was sent to me 3 years ago from an SMS and found it in Google Voice! Back to this app... it made every single message a new email in GMail and it's 100% searchable! I now have no regrets about leaving Google Voice as this app completely solved my needs!!! Thanks for the app!!! BTW: For some reason the donate button doesn't honor the account selected by Google Play Store. I'd donate to you, but I can't use the account that it defaults to for purchases. Fix that, and you've got a donation headed your way!
- Hello there, You guys have made a simple yet efficient app. Does its work perfectly. I've got a suggestion for the backup initiation. When I click on the backup button, I can see that the app first logs into gmail then if no items to backup it exits. Shouldnt this c check be done from within the device itself? Or is there a comparison with what's online and currently pending? Just curious! Thanks for the app,.
- For me, this has been a "set up once and forget about it" app. In fact, until I replaced my phone recently, I actually HAD forgotten about it, and was very gratified to discover that my messages had been backed up to Gmail for the past 2+ years. Not that I particularly need every stupid message I send to be archived, but since it's in Gmail I can easily search for the few I need to reference and clear out the junk.
- This app is great! As a ROM developer I am constantly wiping and reflashing my phone... With this app I can do so, safe in the knowledge that all my texts and phone logs are safely and automatically backed up to my Gmail account. It works intrusively in the background and with the new and much improved Google Account Login functionality, this app easily earns 5 stars!
- I used to love this app. I would use it every two weeks or so to back up my messages before deleting them. But ever since the latest Android update (4.0.4) I have been unable to back up. My phone crashes completely every time I hit the "backup"-button, forcing me to restart. This is a shame. Hope it will be fixed soon. Samsung Galaxy S2.

- It's really cool for sms backup. I use it for a long time, but recently it only backup what I sent without incoming sms, from your F&Q I installed the sms time fix, this problem still exists, I'm really appreciating it can work well again， thank you！
- Everything is in one place, SMS, call log all are auto backed up in my gmail account,so useful. Unlike other apps which store in your SD card,this makes it to the cloud so I wouldnt lose anything again! Thanks for making this great app!
- Great app for anyone who texts and makes phone calls constantly for business. Even when you upgrade to a newer PDA you will always have a log that you may refer to for future reference.
- Call log and sms backed up to the cloud(Gmail account). Phone resets, phone loss, phone replacement, searching sms on computer. Nothing to fear with this app working in the background.
