- How to add widget to home screen
On phone home screen press "menu", then "add", click on "widgets" and choose "Simple Calendar Widget" from the list
(If you can't press add button for some reason, workaround is to press and hold any space on the home screen and a menu pops up)
On most of devices with Android 4.0 widget can be found under "Widgets" tab in app drawer
- Can't find simple calendar in list of Widgets
Try to restart home launcher application (or device)
- Re-size widget
Android 3.0+ supports by default. For older Android versions this can be dome by installing alternative home launcher application
- Options missing since Simple Calendar Widget 2.3 update (Alternative layouts, Line color, Scrollable hack)
The options can be found in menu under Skin -> Simi Skin -> Alternative layouts/Options
- Show weather forecast on the widget
Just set it up in settings of desktop version of Google calendar.
For steps just search for "Weather forecasts in your calendar" in Google.
- Include more interesting calendars like holidays, birthday dates or sport news.
Search for "Add interesting calendars from Google Calendar" and follow the instructions

- EDIT: Today's (7/11/12) update fixes this. Thanks! Updating to 5 stars now. /// After today's (7/8/12) update it will no longer add the the homescreen. I've tried multiple things. When I click the check mark for it to add the configured calendar widget it just goes to the homescreen but nothing appears. I liked this when it worked right, the update before the last one that broke the refreshing all the time...
- Just spent 45 fun minutes configuring the calendar to exactly what i want (and need). Beats "Smooth Calendar" with it's options, and tweaks. Kicker for me was ability to scroll through the calendar on the screen, without having to open the calendar itself and color options in the font options. It just looks good too. Not sure how it could be improved.... Maybe inactive 3D options? :)
- The only complaint I have is that I can seem to find where you can change format after you put widget on your screen. It seems that you have to delete widget and start over. Regardless, I like the format and layout and being able to see future appointments. This is very handy for me. I wish I would have found this app/widget sooner. Que Sera sera.
- I have been using another calendar widget for years but it isn't compatible with Jelly Bean. I stumbled across this one looking for an alternative and found my new default! Lots of customizeable options! You can make it look just about any way you want. Add the additional skins and you've got a great product, all for the price of FREE! Well done!
- Looks very nice and very customisable. Only thing I would say is - could it show the time as well as the date on the left hand side? That way I don't need to install another clock widget that takes up loads of room. SiMi Clock is the best one I've found to match it Thanks again, much apprieciated
- Awesome program! This thing can pull tasks, appointments, and schedules from other programs and compile them on the screen. One suggestion though, on the widget, when you have more than one appointment/task, can you highlight every other one to keep them separated easier? That would be great!
- Actually i have some problem with it now. Eveytime i click on it, it forced close instead of taking me to my droid calendar. I tried restart the phone, still not work. I love the app so much, is there any way i can fix it back to where it was perfect? Please help!
- I don't normally bother to review but this widget is so customizable and well designed I thought it criminal not to. For those who haven't got 20/20 vision you can increase the text size! Simply brilliant!
- Great update (better organized menus), though the option to change the color of the divider seems to be missing. Otherwise, perfect calendar widget. Love its minimalistic, unobtrusive design.
- All of the features and options that I wanted with super looking results.now I have easy access to both my calendar and todos - which are not the default apps. I could go on. Try it.
