- This is by far the best gps turn by turn available for Puerto Rico, and its free, has great options. Just hope in future updates it gives an option for multiple routes and not just one route, but it does automatically correct itself if you miss a turn. Overall very impressed, other gps apps don't stand a chance. Thanks guys at route 66 for this excellent program. O and I almost forgot, you can download maps for offline gps also, and you don't have to download the whole continent, just your state or country!
- Route 66 was pre installed on my old HTC My touch 4g/Panache. Now I have a Note II and have tried every GPS app in the play store... This is the only navy with consistency... forget the brand name gps... If you want proper gps... this is the app for the consumer. 30 day trail period... but if u need a navigation app... it's well worth the price of admission after u see what I mean! I might add... The only gps/navigation where u can type in an address and it is actually the correct address.
- I really love having offline maps, and the maps in Route 66 are very good with lots of POIs. The two improvements I wish for are: Dual language streets and POIs. For example: It is helpful to know that a stret is called ChangAnJie, but I also need to know that the street sign will say 长安街. It would be helpful if the zoom level where the stars for favorites on the map appear. Sometimes it is nice to be able see if any of my favorites are nearby and where they are in relation to each other.
- I have a nexus 7 and was looking in to google maps for navigation. It's apparently possible, but only if you start the route when using WiFi and then don't stray off course! Route 66 on the other hand is brilliant, you can download a map of an entire country and then you don't need the WiFi aspect to navigate! Can't wait to test it out on the continent for a trip to Germany :-)
- Awesome SW performance, I'm using an HTC Incredible from Verizon, of course its on "airplane mode", this app can run offline. If you are new in the city sometimes is easy to get lost, use this app to store the car location, it will take you back!! The best thing is that is not eating all the battery, it just performs fine!!
- Worked really well on my Galaxy s2 i'm very impressed. I was particularly pleased to find this app has also included a non-motorway option, which proved a godsend for a scaredy cat like me! It took a lot of clicking thru all the various settings to actually find it.
- I just migrated to android, I tried google maps, I was put off by the fact I'm not able to download a country map, only 78 m.b. of download is allowed. I used route 66 on bada, and it is great that I can use it again and download all the maps I need for offline use.
- I was just looking for a temporary solution while overseas without my dedicated satnav, but having used Route 66, I think my dedicated satnav's days are numbered. App is stable, "follow me" mode is impressive. Can't say about map accuracy yet, seems OK.
- really does what is promised. Has tried it for a couple of days, and the only thing I can say is: this GPS navigation app work! Recomend it! (Galaxy Tab P1010). It even works offline (no internet conn required) and best of all: it's free! Map: Indonesia
- I absolutely love it. I've tried other apps but this 1 takes the cake I just hope you guys keep up the good work and update because so far I think it's 1 of the best. I have uninstalled 2 other GPS apps that I used to depend on daily.
