Radar Alive! Pro Weather Radar
Radar Alive! brings weather radar to your phone or tablet from all US states and Puerto Rico. Watch tornadoes, hurricanes and other weather events live and in Level III detail. Monitor your local weather radar. See warnings on the map, and warning text. Track storm chasers and report your own position through Spotter Network. Easily switch to the nearest doppler radar with a long press on the map.
Radar Alive! is suitable for storm chasers, professional meteorologists, emergency personnel, SKYWARN spotters and weather enthusiasts. It has a wide selection of US radar products (image types). NWS severe weather warnings are displayed along with a customizable low clutter map with cities, roads, counties and states. The display is suitable for both phones and tablets.
Choose from a complete menu of radar products at multiple tilt angles, including composite and base reflectivity, base and storm relative velocity, VIL, hydrometeor classification (type of precipitation) and others. Spot tornadoes with the velocity and base reflectivity plots; view warning boxes and warning text; dodge hail with the hydrometeor classification display.
Radar Alive!'s precision images are generated from NOAA's NEXRAD Level III binary data (NWS weather radar). Carefully simplified maps minimize clutter on the radar display.
The serious user will appreciate advanced features, such as smart GPS usage to conserve battery power; network bandwidth conservation; and, maps optimized for weather radars.
A full Spotter Network client is included. It can display the positions of active Spotter Network users. You can use it to automatically report your position to Spotter Network, and to make reports of weather events. When the main app is not in use, it can run in the background, where it can be controlled from an icon in the notification bar of the device.
Radar Alive! was written by a dedicated storm chaser for the serious meteorological user.

- I work outside rain or shine. The data downloads fast and is real accurate. Within 5 seconds I can plan around the weather patterns. Best example: I live in Florida and right now hurricane Debbie is passing through. I was able to predict with this app the next line of showers and work within the window! It's not the most glitzy but it shows you what you need to know! Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- This is an app for people who want to study the raw data and draw their own insights. The data are presented in beautiful maps but it will take you a fair amount of study to know what the maps represent. You will learn a lot of Meteorology, which is great. You may get better insights than your TV weatherman, and there are user groups and forums to help you learn.
- The radar graphics are crisp, the app is fairly light so I do not have freeze issues or crashes. My only suggestion would to be able to integrate with Allison house and Spotter network. Being able to take screen shots would be cool too. In all...good job!
- Haven't had any real problems with us and with the storm right now is just funky. Really great with warnings that just pop up around the storms. Not entirely detailed at the street level but thats for show anyway..
- This little app is probably the most overlooked weather radar app I have ever used. Its simple straight forward display is so flexible and it is very easy to decifer. Best one for the price by far. And no ads!
- I work construction love this app for the accuracy and speed,also if you ever have questions john moore always answers. My wife has pykle and this is always faster to update and quicker to load.

- Best radar bar none. I've shown it to others that have different radar on their phone and they don't believe the difference! They immediately install it!
- I like to see what's comming. We had two severe storms and knocked power out some people are still without you need a good radar to see what's up.
