PlayTool
PlayTool is a program for controlling android music players, system or external.
This program is NOT music player, it only different players controller. You can rewind audio or change track just for two touches without switching to the player, just launch this app by long-press Search button or use other methods and control your music!
More than 15 players are supported now, more later. Some of supported players:

Unfortunately Winamp and doubleTwist players broke support for external controlling.
You can open the panel by long-press Search or Camera button (depending on preferences), connecting wired or bluetooth headset or using notification bar. Tap outside the app window to close. Use the Menu button to access the settings.

- PlayTool is a perfect complement to Poweramp on my SGS2. The simplicity and pragmatic approach of this app is enough to earn it a 5-star rating. I found it easy to set up and to use. The developer omits one key feature in the app's description here: any of the skins that show cover art (all but Black and Invisible, I think) let you use PlayTool to launch your music player by tapping the cover art. This approach has the controller used for the everyday navigation tasks (play, stop, forward/back, etc.) and leaves the heavy work to the music player (library, queue, sound shaping, etc.) I simply remapped every home screen icon that launched my music player, so that it launches PlayTool instead. Voilà! A nice, clean controller, free of extraneous doodads, that doesn't force me to leave whatever context I was working in when I launched it. I was glad to buy the donate version of this app.
- Works great on my Atrix 4G with PlayerPro. Great solution for seeing the current track info, especially when player is in the background (like using navigation, etc). One request: Add the ability to rate songs in the pop-up. Thanks for a great app!
- I donated immediately after testing this program w/both PlayerPro & PowerAmp. Allows easy access to PlayerPro w/out needing a widget, since PowerAmp is my default player w/widget.
- Unobtrusive, uses phone's music app, hidden when not in use, and nice selection of skins. Update lets you launch player even in smaller skins. Good job :)
- When using go launcher you cant use stock HTC widgets but now that I've found this I finally have go launcher the way I wanted it!!!!
- This is simply brilliant. Works perfectly with poweramp. The dev has found a need and filled it wonderfully. Well done!
