Omega - Virtual Assistant
If you are looking for a voice controlled, virtual assistant, similar to Siri on the iPhone 4S, look no further.
Just by asking, you can make appointments, send messages, set alarms and reminders, launch apps, call taxis, businesses and your contacts, check for stores, restaurants and bars around you and many things more.
Omega can also answer general questions, do unit conversions, knows probably more about our world and the relations within it than you and is simply a good companion. It will follow along with the conversation and react intelligently to incomplete input and contextual assumptions.

If you cannot hear Omega talking:
Please make sure that you have a text to speech engine installed! Omega will assist you in downloading this by clicking on "Check for TTS data" in the preferences(Press the menu button!).
Thanks to fully supporting Wolfram|Alpha, Omega is able to answer complex factual questions. No other app, not even Siri, will answer these question acoustically:
"What is the 30th Tuesday in 2015?"
"Who is the president of Argentina?"
"How many cups are five pound of lead?"
"Population of the United States, divided by total world population?"
"Who is the singer of Coldplay?"
"Heart disease risk of a 30 year old male smoker?"

Also, try looking up music, videos, lyrics and images, ask for time and weather, check out routes and places on the map, or ask Omega to turn on and off your bluetooth and wifi and many things more!
Omega uses the regular recognition engine from Google by default, as practically any app doing speech recognition on android. I find this to work very well, but this varies alot across different people and accents. You might want to try installing Vlingo and setting it up as the default recognition engine in your system settings. You might or might not find this to work better for you.

- Still not as good as Voice Actions plus by pannous but only by a hair or two. Still way better than Siri. I have ann iphone and ask questions at the same time.voice Actions plus #1 Omega #2 Speaktoit assistant #3 then Siri. Nothing else comes close so don't waste your time our money. 4 or 5 more updates and Omega will be #1 with out a question and worth every penny.
- The setup screen needs to be made scrollable, or else devices with low resolution will be stuck staring at the top half. The menu key is also disabled in the wizard, so there's no way to access the rest of the app. If you can't fix this, you need to at least adjust your device compatibility in the market so others don't waste their money.
- Your one is not working because you need to update you google voice first out ask you when you first instal it you must have skip it lol my galaxy note works just fine and also if you go to the settings you can set out so that you can still talk to it even when you have a app open like the Web browser :-)example love it
- This app is by far the best thing I've done for for my cell phone history,needs a bit of updates though but wit that bein said that's all it needs,please update this app,I'm recommending this to my ppl and I want to lead ppl to a full optimized update.
- Great app thats pretty accurate most of the time. There's a problem where it doesnt remember the name settings upon reopening it unless you go into the preferences and back out again, but otherwise great
- Smooth performance on my Samsung Galaxy S, voice recognition works like a charm and Omega has good answers to most of my questions. Can only recommend the app.
- The only reason I wanted an iPhone was for a usable virtual assistant...that worked well. with Omega...I have the best of both worlds. What a great app
- What's siri? lol! Omega is way better, from experience on both. Dev responds and updates quickly. Be sure to update google voice on Evo3d. evo3d
- Needs a way to cancel out by voice if it misinterprets you. It thought I wanted to add a calendar event and wouldn't do anything else until I exited
- Really the best of its kind. Does everything as advertised and more. Even reads back results from Wolfram Alpha, not even Siri does this!
