  • The service is currently available in more than 32 North American metropolitan areas. Urban Guidance is a Live service and therefore requires a data connection.

NAVIGON FreshMaps XL

The in app purchase option FreshMaps provides quarterly map updates for at least two years. The service uses trusted, field-verified, and quality-controlled map and points of interest updates from NAVTEQ® to make sure the NAVIGON app provides the most accurate and reliable directions possible. This saves you time and headaches on the road.

Note

  • Positioning your smartphone correctly in the vehicle is very important to ensure optimal GPS reception and for your own safety! Ensure that this is always positioned outside of the range of the airbags!
  • NAVIGON is an on-board solution. This means that all map material, voice announcements and system files are saved on the telephone. Therefore no charges or waiting time for data transfer are incurred.
  • The USA version requires approx. 1.2GB of free memory. Please ensure you have sufficient available mass-storage space (SD card). The map material must be downloaded after installing the app via wireless Internet on the smartphone. Please ensure a reliable and safe connection is available.
  • On first startup a short data connection (ca. 25kB) is required to register your product

  • Great app. Bought this for a trip to US as have been using Autralian version that came free with the Ace and found that to be great. Then accidentally left the Ace in Aust so had to download it to the Tab - thank goodness they are linked so I didn't have to pay again. It worked fantastically purely on GPS as there was no way I was going use data outside Australia. There were a few times that GPS signal was lost but it was never for a great length of time & i think that any GPS would have had the same issue in some of the locations. Did get to use it on the Ace & no probs but had gotten used to the bigger screen of the Tab
  • I've had this for 2 weeks now and I love it. After reading all the bad reviews I was hesitant in buying the software but I'm glad I did. I have a samsung galaxy player 4.0 and it works great. I like it so much I put my magellan gps in the other car. The routes it gives are always spot on and I love the fact that it gives you 3 options. It does consume a lot of battery power but that is easily avoided by plugging it into the lighter socket. If you're looking for a great turn by turn gps do you have found it.
  • I have used many street navigation apps over the years. I started with WinCE, before Andriod or the iPhone even existed. I tried many applications before settling on Navigon. When I moved Andriod, I tried the free Google app, but it did not have the features I want. I am back with Navigon for the features. Lane guidance for exits. It shows what the exit signs will look like. Is shows the posted speed limit for most major roads. My only complaint is vehicle speed. You have to coose between it an ETA.
  • This is by far the best naviagtion tool I've used. As long as you make sure to down load the maps for every state you are going through planning a long trip with interim destinations is easy. It even helps me get around Disney, with which other programs have struggled. I think it is a great buy at a great price.
  • Ive tried. Co Pilot , Sygic and Tom Tom. NAVIGON is far superior guidance and accurate lane assist. Love the 3 route option and ability to modify your route. Great custom settings

  • I don't know what's up with these other reviewers. Works flawlessly on my Galaxy Player 5.0, my Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, and my SGS2. Thoroughly pleased.
  • So far working fine the only thing is that before use to have traffic & now it doesn't. I think that is not fear for us whose purchase with it.
  • I like having the nav on my phone to use whether I have cell coverage or not. They keep updating the software too.
  • Live the Navigon software, works just fine on my incredible 2 from HTC. Better than my original hand held device.
