My Data
This is a very simple database application. It lets you create databases on your SD Card in a folder named My Data. Shortcuts to particular tables in the database can be created in the Android launcher.
The application lets you do the following:
- Create/Delete/Rename/Backup/Undelete databases.
- Create/Delete/Rename/Import/Export tables.
- Create/Delete/Rename/Move columns.
- Create/Delete/Edit/Move rows.
- Create relationships between tables.
- Password protect and encrypt tables.
- The following types are supported: Text, Integer, Real, Check Box, Date, Time and Phone numbers.
- When a database is deleted, a backup of the database is performed automatically.
- The application stores the database using the SQLite file format.
- The application relies heavily on long press gestures to bring up context menus that will let you do some of the above.
- The application lets you do search with wildcard support where * can be used to match any sequence of characters. Voice search is also supported.
- The application has paging support. The feature will kick in for tables with more than 100 rows. Four buttons will let you navigate to first page, previous page, next page or last page. One page has 100 rows which is changeable and can be different for each table.

- Tables can be sorted by doing a long press on the column title and selecting sort. The app requires read and write access to /sdcard/My Data or /mnt/sdcard/My Data. Please ensure that the folder is writable using a file manager like the app named: Explorer. Here is an example on how to use relationships: 1) Create a table named Contacts that has two columns: Name and Phone. 2) Add a few rows to the Contacts table. 3) Now let's say you want to create a table named Invitees where you want to keep a list of contacts that you want to invite to a party. 4) Create a table named Invitees with one column named "Name" which is a relationship to the Name column from the Contacts table. 5) Now if you want to add an Invitee to the Invitees table, you just add a row and select a contact from the contacts table without having to retype the name.
- What a pleasant surprise... An App Developer who knows his craft. His attention to Product Quality is evident in 1) offering frequent, significant Feature Updates; 2) coding effective Error Trapping logic (no FCs); and 3) implementing an easy/friendly DB Recovery scheme. He also offers amazingly responsive Customer Support. Mere hours after I reported a minor date-handling problem, it was fixed. Others have commented on his rapid response to new feature requests. It may be a Simple DB App …but not for long.
- This is a simple yet a great application as I could make any 'secure' notes. Thank you for providing the updated version; still wondering and waiting, though.. whether there will be a new updated version that makes me possible to set the column width and to wrap automatically the long texts inside :)
- There are a few other database apps out there, but none as simple and clean as this one. The only suggestion I have for the developer is to have separate pages for each form, but as you are still in the fist stages of adding forms, this may already be the plans.
- Very simple and straightforward to set up databases and tables if you know anything at all about them. A good solid feature set and a useful tool. Free, and easy on permissions. No ads. Want a nice db product that's easy to use? Try this. It's a keeper.
- I like this so far! One feature I'd like to see added is the ability to add a column which shows the difference between the current date and the date in another column, thanks!
- I was surprised at how capable this little program was. I use for recording my workouts, but it has indefinite uses. Very stable, problem free.
- It's perfect, but I'm learning to create modify insert and perform queries only if I could interact with the dbms manually
