• Coming to Android from a Nokia with Symbian was a slight culture shock and it took me a while to find a shopping app which worked as well as the Symbian one I'd been using for a year or so. I trawled through so many Droid shopping apps I was almost going to give up and resort to pencil and scraps of paper. Then I discovered "Mighty Grocery Lite". At first it seemed a bit over the top for a simple shopping list but as I became used to it and found my way around I got to the point where I just couldn't do without it. Some of the features are not available in the "Lite" version and I had got to the point where the extras would be really nice so I bought the full version. I wasn't disappointed and in retrospect would have paid much more for this app. I'm still learning all it's ins and outs (thanks to the in depth user guide on their site) and as yet, haven't found anything I would like it to do that it doesn't already do. The recipe function is a real blast. Want Moroccan lamb Tagine tonight? Go to the recipe section (which you will have already filled in with the ingredients) - select all and there they are in your current shopping list - outstanding. I HIGHLY recommend this
• I'm an old user of Handy Shopper, from the Palm Pilot days, and have tried many, many Apple and Android apps in the hopes of finding a decent replacement. Mighty Grocery isn't a direct replacement for that app, but it is an improvement. I use app as general check list tool for repeated tasks, like packing for camping trips or team equipment. For trips to the hardware store, I make a generic list of things like pipe or electrical fittings & fasteners, & keep the specifics just generic enough that between the list & my memory I can reuse the list. This is really helpful for me when I'm trying to whack out what is supposed to be a quick domestic project. Boy Scouts could use this to manage advancement requirements. Pros: Great list tool. Small footprint, not a RAM hog, not a heavy Google snoop app, doesn't turn on location & other high processing & power consuming features. Cons: Photos in the Notes section would be appreciated. Separate Master Lists would be very helpful. Ability to set manually set live syncing would be great for folks who are solo users -- we don't need to be constantly updating the Cloud list with every action. No backup to SD option.
• Yeah it does cost you a few dollars but worth every single cent. The first day I used it the program more than paid for itself. They scanned the same $20.00 item twice. When you shop for the month all at once and your bill is $300 to $400 you might not notice but the app sure did. To be completely honest it is a bit of work to set up with prices if you want that particular feature to work properly. After that however its just filling in the blanks which takes seconds. Please use the publishing feature when scanning in an item that isnt recognized to help everyone out. You will find that things are much quicker when someone else has done some of the work for you. I can't tell you how much this has helped my family shop smarter and easier. Thank you for such a great app.
• I tried several shopping list programs and this is the best. You can organize your items by isle and order the isles how you want. Has a favorites list, multiple shopping lists, can add recipes and easily add all the ingredients to your shopping list for that recipe, scan your stuff into the list. Allowing you to organize the list how you want really allow you to easy make a shopping list and easily follow the shopping list when at the store. I organized my list by the aisles in the from the left side to the right side of the store and I just start at the top of the list all the way down and I never have to back track in the store. Super awesome. Totally worth the $3.99.
• I've tried plenty of grocery apps before this one and by far this is the BEST! I am able to have multiple lists and there are so many features within this app. I've been able to input all items with price that I frequently buy and more under my current store and have a separate list specially for shopping. All I have to do is copy it over to my shopping list and wa-la! I am also able to stay within budget which was something I was not able to do before. All I can say is, I wish I would have found this app earlier! You can't go wrong with Mighty Grocery.
• I tried many other grocery list apps, and this is the best one I have found. I love the price compare feature, history, and ability to input recipes and add those ingredients to your list! This has made my shopping and meal planning easier, faster, much more organized, and has helped me save money, so it pretty much paid for it self, and then some!
• I shop at Wegman's and now my phone has my list in order by aisle! The pick list is a great help when making a list. My other favorite stores (Ikea, Target, etc) are also kept with running lists that I can add to as I think of things. This is one worth upgrading!
• I love being able to dictate my grocery list with the voice option. It's great for those "oh I need..." Moments. Having a price data base is especially helpful, it helps me see if weekly deals and coupons are a good enough deal to make a special stop for them.
• If this app included a dinner planner, it would be perfect. In the meantime, I'm using another app for this, which can get a bit bothersome. Bar codes don't work in Canada for the most part, but I can live with that.
• Love it. Thanks for the latest update. It's the one I've been waiting. Definitely worth the money. Best and easiest app found for groceries. Keep up the great work. I don't need paper anymore!!
