- I've used it in the past. It works fine, and my only complaint is actually that my phone is for my phones lack of memory not the app. The problem today is over use. When it says that the connection is lost, or that your user name and password are not working, that can be due to strained servers on their end. ie: due to the 700 free comics sale, their sites are flooded. Perhaps they should have been prepared to handle this, but under normal circumstances this is not an issue, and they may have underestimated how much we love their comics. If you love comics wait patiently and don't dis the app just because its broken today.
- I honestly couldn't stand the idea of digital comics until I redeemed my codes for the free digital versions of some Marvel books I bought. This is the smartest thing Marvel could possibly do. I can't get over how clear and gorgeous they looked on my nexus 7 screen. This also allows me to read my comics anywhere and still have a physical copy sitting in my box. I will definitely make use of this app for back issues among other things. I only wish DC would do the same, this is a genius move by Marvel.
- Like everyone else I'm having issues keeping my purchased/downloaded comics. Hoping this is fixed Asap. For those who claim they are unaffected u may want to test it b4 u say that as I did not notice until I was somewhere that had no internet. No more purchases until this is fixed! ********************************UPDATE TO MY PRIOR REVIEW**************************************** Now that I updated the app things seem to be back to normal 5 stars again!!!
- The server got flooded with ppl making new accounts just for the free 700 so the can sell the app log most likely( BANDWAGONERS). Blame them and blame Yahoo for posting it on their front pg where the BANDWAGONERS read about it. I got my free comics. Thanks marvel. Ive been a paying customer for a log time. pick and chose the ones you actually want. Dont just take them all it screws other ppl.
- I wasn't overly impressed with this app on my 7" tablet, but it was okay. Today I loaded it on my S3 to see how bad comics on an even smaller screen would be, and was totally blown away. The frame by frame display of the comic actually enhanced the experience and after reading 1 comic I instantly bought another. Fantastic job!
- OK after the 700 free comics debacle, I can download and log back in again. Maybe marvel should have been better prepared for the amount of folk creating an account simply to get free comics...... but I'll go back to my previous 5 stars because at the end of the day I buy the comics and enjoy reading them on my tablet.
- Look, no one likes to buy the same thing twice, so you should add a feature where you can scan the barcode of a comic you baught and it downloads to your library. That way you have a hard copy, and one on your phone or tablet that you can take anywhere with you .
- The app on my samsung galaxy note made my first free comic actually enjoyable ...it enlarges the appropriate action box as needed...advances to the next scene... uncovers text to build suspense....really enjoyable...
- Took almost a month to fix a really devastating screw up with an update but now that they have it goes back to getting 5 stars I love and read a ton of comics on this app
- Please revisit the awesome 700 free book promotion! Or at least a less intense version, perhaps 100 at a time. So as not to crash your servers
