- As noted by Greebo (and possibly others), the latest update cripples this app. It no longer displays anything other than the title of the task. Before the update, this was a terrific app. I rely upon several task lists, organized GTD-style. GTasks provides me with the choice of viewing all my tasks in a single list or by each individual list. Hopefully, the developer will fix the problem that has rendered this app pretty much useless. I give the developer 3 stars for questionable testing of the update. Mine is just an ordinary Nexus 7 tablet. If functionality is restored, it's easily a five-star (and highly recommended) app. And well worth the price of purchasing GTasks Key for Premium Functions. UPDATE: The developer responded to my email within hours and posted a fix to the Play Store which restored functionality to this app. Kudos to the developer for the speedy response. Now GTasks gets the five stars it deserves.
- Who would think someone could write a better Google Tasks app than Google? This has so much more functionality that Google Tasks, it syncs perfect with Google Tasks but adds a lot more, like reminders and sort-ability. I wish Google's online task was as good - I like using my computer keyboard to add tasks, but end up using this to set reminders and organize. It's not just the functionality, but the user interface is great too, ability to batch add, indent and set dates - it's all good. Google should buy this and put it standard on all android phones. I use it several times a day, more than any other app besides the web browser. Oh yeah, make sure you install the widgets, one for each list.
- I love this app! I have so many different lists with recurring daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly tasks. You can easily rearrange items, which is what some other task apps I tried were missing. After using this for a couple of months, it became a bit buggy, but I think it was something else on my phone causing the issue. I tried a few others, but eventually went back to gtasks because it just has everything I need! The other thing I LOVE about it is the ability to sync across devices. Love, love, love this little free app!!
- Exactly what I need. Have it on my home screen. Recurring tasks don't appear to work - which may be a problem with Google itself (since that option is not there in Google tasks) - so perhaps best to remove the option. Wish that it would remember what you default view is. When I create a task, it always wants to put it in my gmail list and then show me that list, even though by default it shows me the 'all' list in the widget and when I first open the app.
- The new missed reminders feature needs to be optional. It's horrible. I've been a paid user for quite some time, and am more than pleased with the usability and functionality of this app, but this feature is intrusive and annoying, and I want to turn it off. Like NOW!! Hopefully this gets fixed, and I will for sure still be using this daily, and will leave my 5 star rating because I like it so much... but will be praying for a fix soon.
- I've tried all of them, and GTasks has the best UI and usability. IMHO. Been using for 3 years - 2 with my old Droid X, and 1 with my new GS3. No problems whatsoever with the Droid X, but regular crashes with my GS3. Some crashes have been so severe that recovery required restoring the app data from a local backup. I've emailed the developer numerous times and never received a reply. Too bad, because the app is great.
- The number 1 thing I care about is widgets, and they have the perfect widgets that are simple and useful. I can choose what list I want each widget to show, and that's the just so helpful I loved it immediately. And it allowed me to pick what list I want to show on All, and being a slightly control freakish, I just. Wow. This app was perfect. I've used Wunderlist, Any.Do, etc, but this is the best yet.
- For a long time I have been on the hunt for a easy, feature rich, nice looking todo app with good widgets. I've tried all the popular ones for a good while and this is the only app I've been fully satisfied with! It's got a great layout and sync, you can order things any way you like, the widgets are highly customizable, and so on. Anything you could possibly want, it does.
- Love this app. Easy to see my tasks, easy to add and organize them. The reminders that pop up on my phone are super helpful. I love that there is a "15 min snooze" option. Such a great idea. I can easily see all my google task lists and it's working seamlessly whether I input items online or on my phone. Love, love, love it!!
- All you need...convenient and super easy to use, many options on free version. Prioritize my importance or upcoming event, set weekly monthly every other Thursday reminders. Quick add is great. Easily slide between lists. I dont know what I would do without it. Tried so many others and they can't compare. Thanks Gtasks!
