GPS Airplane VFR Navigation
We have just migrated the Navigate capability from the VFR+ to this APP. This includes the Destination Screen as well all the worlds airports. In addition we have added the capability to add your own airport with User Defined Lat and Lon plus the ability to store the current GPS location as a User Define Airport.
We also added a Flight Logger which records time in the air departure and arrival Lat/Lon plus export capability.
In addition we can export a raw file of your points when in the air including speed, altitude, lat/lon.
This APP is a free(no ads), simple VFR Airplane Digital Navigation Aid for pilots and their passengers.

Androids have a good GPS receiver and a Magnetic Sensor. We use them to aid the pilot by telling him his Ground Track (MAGNETIC, TRUE), GROUNDSPEED (KTS, MPH, KPH), ALTITUDE (FT, Meters).
To use, first during PREFLIGHT simply start the APP. The top of the phone will give you magnetic heading in degrees. This can used to set the gyroscopic direction finder.
Before flight, attach the phone to the yoke or dashboard with a commercial holder or velcro.
After a GPS lock occurs the APP will show you the Magnetic deviation from True North at your current Lat/Lon location.
Go to the PANEL mode to see the basic digital instruments. Pressing any of the Type Unit Headings will scroll to different units. For example, switching from Feet to Meters altitude.

- This is the one and I have tried them all. But get the paid version. It's even cooler. I compared it in flight to my G1000 and it read identical. (Note gps altitude is inherently not accurate [which is why the G1000 doesn't use it], it's not the app if you see a discrepancy). This one is SO simple to use.
