- I love Doggcatcher. I use it daily. It's slick, simple, and does exactly what it sets out to. I was having an issue with accessing some podcast content, I sent in a support request and it was responded to within just a couple of hours. And this was on Saturday evening. My "issue" turned out to be unrelated to doggcatcher, but the fast turn-around and quality of service really impressed me. The developer clearly cares about this app. Highly, highly, highly recommended.
- I don't buy apps - ever. But after trying a variety of free podcatchers I finally caved and bought Doggcatcher - and I've not been disappointed. The interface is clean and polished with all options within ready reach. There's a full complement of settings in preferences for tweaking every aspect of its behavior and the ability to control the how and when podcasts best downloaded was just what I was looking for. It makes my commute a dream. Best money I've ever spent.
- I've tried a bunch of podcast apps for Android, and this one beats them all. Works well and is stable - has never crashed on me. Has all the features I want but is still simple and reasonably intuitive to use. My only gripe, and it's a trivial one, is that it usually doesn't pause during my incoming email notification sound. After being disappointed with all the free podcast apps I could find, I was reluctant to pay for DC but it's worth every cent. Adam
- Makes it super easy for me to get my NPR podcasts. Uses this with presto (for 1.5x) all the time and that works well. I like also the ability to download the podcasts but delete when done. Also works well with Bluetooth (would be nice to show tracks info, but that seems an Android issue).
- Worth every dollar. My battery lasts forever now, I can listen all day while in power saving mode. They update the software often and after having it for about a month now I've had no problems and it has my favorite casts: Rooster Teeth, Mega 64, Naked Scientist. Love it!!!!!!
- Used it on Droid x, Incredible, thunderbolt. First app I install. LOVE that you can play just the audio from a video podcast. Great having that option when I want to save battery, but don't want to subscribe to the audio versions of my podcast.
- Probably the best podcast app for Android. Global and per-feed settings make it very flexible. The categories feature has become my preferred way to listen, automatically producing playlists, with easy control over the auto-play option.
- This is my favorite Podcasting app. The interface is straight-forward and easy to navigate. However, there is a bug or conflict with CM10 that results in high memory usage that will destabilize your phone, so be advised.
- Lots of options, runs great on my low end LG Optimus V. I love the ability to suggest feeds and pick from top dogg catcher feeds. The ability to do video podcasts is nice.
- Definitely functionable and the best podcast player on Android. But still room for interface improvements.
