Constellation is a suite of highly engaging course materials designed to help you master your instructional goals. The course materials offered on the Constellation platform are custom-created for your Ashford University course curriculum – offering you a highly tailored study experience.
With the Android Constellation application, you can easily leverage a suite of student-friendly tools with total mobility. Navigate through your course materials easily with an intuitive interface. Search seamlessly with the ability to quickly locate keywords and concepts within your texts. You can also create notes and highlights within your course materials and access a summary of your notations when you’re ready to review.
The Constellation application for Android empowers you to study your way. Log on to Constellation through the application and pick up where you left off on the web. Or start your study experience on the web and then access Constellation on your Android device when you need to be mobile. It’s all up to you. Your course materials and notations will be synced for you. The Constellation application is free for Ashford University students enrolled in an online degree program. It’s also offered free for all Ashford University online faculty. The Constellation application is supported on all tablets running Android version 2.3 and higher.
Knowledge Check
Check your knowledge with assessments (select books only)
With the Knowledge Check, you can identify your learning gaps and pinpoint sections you need to focus on in order to master the course material. Before reading a chapter, take a pre-test to determine what you already know. Once you’ve read the chapter, take a post-test to gauge your understanding. You’ll get recommended sections to read based on what you don’t yet understand. The chapter review guide shows your proficiency against the learning outcomes for that chapter.
Leverage your customizable highlighting tool to easily note important items in your course materials. Highlight key ideas, passages, and facts and then categorize them by color.
Use the Notes feature to rewrite concepts as you process them, or to cross-reference different components of your course material. Organize your notes with different color options so that you can categorize them according to your study preferences.
Summary of Notations
Use the Notations Summary to quickly access all of your highlights and notes. This summary provides a substantive view of the material you’ve covered when you’re ready to re-review and study.
Table of Contents
No need to swipe through the text looking for a special section to read. Use the Table of Contents to navigate directly to another chapter or section with ease.
Quickly locate key terms or concepts in your texts using the intuitive search feature. You can locate key terms or concepts on a specific page or throughout your entire text.
Use Constellation on-the-go, wherever you go. Your digital experience is synced. Start on the web and pick back up on your Android without a problem. Constellation syncs your notes, highlights, and course materials in real time.

- Thank you for finally creating an android app. Since the implementation of e-books and less option to order physical copy, I have been wanting to access it on my phone so I can study at work on breaks, or just away from my normal computer. It was frustrating knowing there was an app for iphones and not androids, as I prefer the android platform. This was a much welcomed and needed app for my continued education.
