Choice Dialer Plus is a faster voice dialer with voice confirmations, more launch triggers and more commands. It will work using a Bluetooth headset on most (all?) phones running Android 2.2 or later and it does not require a data connection except for features transcribing speech to text.

Play music, schedule events, look up contacts, place calls, toggle settings & more.

Dictate texts, emails, and Facebook status updates.

Send texts, by voice, using Google Voice.

If your phone's version of Android supports Bluetooth hands-free voice dialing, it will work with this app.

NOTE: Speech recognition is US English only. Sorry, but I have no access to other language models.

TIPS

  1. When confirming a command, say "That is correct" rather than "Yes", as the shorter word is often lost in the noise.
  2. For best recognition, enter the full names for your contacts, even "Mom" and "Dad".
  3. Press "Menu" as the app listens for Help and Settings panels. Not all features are enabled by default.
  4. Speak confidently and naturally. Speaking-word-by-word-often-hurts-more-than-it-helps.
  5. You need Android 2.2 or later for hands-free dialing over Bluetooth
  6. Some phone users report that they need to remove their phone's battery for 5 full minutes before the Bluetooth Voice Dialing works.

  • For those Android users having trouble with voice dial working through a bluetooth headset this app works! I tried Vlingo and Skyvi, but they would not use the headset UNTIL the call was connected thus defeating the purpose of voice dialing. This app fixed it on my galaxy s2. I'm running Gingerbread 2.3.6 with root and entrophy kernel. The ROM is unNamed 2.2.1. My bluetooth is a blueparrot noise canceling and I have had no problems with it recognizing my commands.
  • I've used this app. for several months before reviewing. This is a Top Notch App.! I have it installed on my Samsung Infuse SGH-I997 and it works just as the developer says it should. Speak properly as advised and the App does the rest. I'm on the road to make a living and this App. is a 'Must Have' for safety. I would never be without it. +1 and a billion kudos to the developer.
  • I have used numerous applications on numerous phones over the last few years and the paid version of this 1 on my android phones. certainly 1 of the best. latest update made a big difference. The better hardware you use the better your results. I am currently using a motorola atrix two with a plantronics voyager pro plus.
  • As new android user was used to solid voice command on WM. Have tested and tried all dialers (I use lot of BT) and this one was hands down the best. If you need a voice or BT dialer this is the best one.

  • Took awhile to sort out shake options so I could activate w/o breaking wrist, while not making it so sensitive that it came on accidentally on mcycle.
  • This app is essential for me on my Huawei M865. The app has its quirks at times, but it gets the job done. No other app worked for me. H730 headset.
  • I have been using this app for nearly a year instead the default voice app. Works good and the author is very prompt in responding to questions.
  • A proper hands free bluetooth app. The default voice is a bit harsh but is easily replaced by downloading a nice SVox cutie.
