Comments
- Turn on background reporting, upload only over WiFi, and forget it. I have had no noticeable battery drain with settings this way. This app does a great job of showing how each carrier does in any given area, for both voice and data coverage. The more samples that you give it, the more accurate it can be for your area! If carriers pay attention to this (T-Mobile US advertises it on their site) they can make real improvements where they are needed!
- App is very simple and intuitive. Once the data is captured it is sent to RootMetrics and you can see it in their map in less than 5 minutes. I wish they would implement a version that you can make it sit in the background (maybe with an active notification) to continuously monitor the network wherever you go. (The geeks in us would be very happy).
- Great app for objective data collection. Unlike other cellular signal maps where users input their data, which can be opinionated or even feed by cellular companies to boost their image, the data here is purely pulled from the phone itself in real time. Data cannot be posted after the fact. This means you cannot fake or feed the map bogus data.
- I've used this app since before it was available on the Play store, and it finally has background monitoring. I've used it constantly to provide as much data on T-mobile service wherever i go, now it will be even better. Thanks Rootmetrics
- Ui is simple and great. Super simple to use. Good set of features with great information. Excellent app for anyone considering other carriers in their area or moving to a new one.
- Simple, clean and great way to prove your quality of service, after a couple days use of it uploads results and the maps have started to reflect areas I have been recording.
- Working properly and looks great. Be careful as can easily eat all your data. Left on continuous for few hours n ate 4GB. Thank goodness for no data limits on my contract!
- The more you use this app, the better the results become. Get your friends on other networks to use it, so that you can discover the best network for your area!
- I especially like the map and the ability to move around and see comparisons of the various carriers for the area I'm viewing.
- Recommending to all, this will help those who have no clue about coverage and also those who think they no better! I was one!
