Comments
- Facebook will never allow a 3rd party app to Reply or Delete Messages. FriendCaster needs to put that in their description. 1) New Update fixed the 'not all messages showing up problem' 2) But still cannot Reply to any Message 3) Push Notifications DO NOT WORK, unless the app is open in the foreground. So that is useless. I need to run Tasker and the Facebook Messenger apps to get decent functionality. 1) Set up the Tasker app to look for a new window called "Messages" from the FriendCaster app 2) Have Tasker then open up Facebook's Messenger app directly. *Now, I can always use an app that works, not just when clicking the message notification icon* @Handmark @1Louder @Friend Caster Your solution is this: 1) Either give up on Push Notifications, or revamp your push server. Copy Chrome2phone (appspot) system maybe. 2) Get rid of your in-app message system. Just have ALL links/buttons for Messages point to either the browser site (desktop or mobile), the Facebook app, or the Facebook Messenger app. *I had to use Tasker for a workaround* 3) Most Important.... tell people BEFORE they download or purchase... that Messages will be handled by Facebook.
- Used it and felt in love... Best app for fakebook. I give it 5 stars. SO SHOULD EVERYBODY ELSE! You all can see that the devs are working a lot to fix any bugs. If you leave it with 1 star you deserve to use the fakebook official app :) I very much appreciate the fact that the devs put up all the effort needed to patch the errors in this app. It does not crash anymore. Any particular errors that might appear from time to time on jellybean or from fakebook changes i am sure they will fix them :D THANK YOU!;)
- I love this app but at random times it erases my most visited starred pages. Still having problems viewing pics and can't tag people in comments, posts or replies ex: @Friendcaster. Pleeeeease, please, please fix this. I know you guys are working hard to get this working correctly, smoothly, fix bugs and so forth but pleeeeease update more often with your progress. AND DON'T ERASE MY SAVED FAVORITES WHILE YOU DO SO! Thanks for your hard work, it is still the better then the stock FB!!
- This app makes much better use of the screen on a tablet over the official facebook app, and is much faster and more intuitive. It also seems to use less data and less resources. Love it! I did have one bug which I reported, and the developers emailed me straight back to say they're working on it. Keep up the good work! The best feature is the events "add to calendar" button which adds facebook events to my gmail calendar
- I installed Pro a couple of days ago on my HTC Sensation & had a problem posting a comment today. Tonight I logged a support call on the developers website & had a response within 30 minutes. The resolution worked too. I love this app as it is streets ahead of the basic android fb app. I can now open fb on my phone.
- I was having problems due to the fact of many of my friends and likes were missing from my news feed. I contacted the developers through their website. Within two hours they sent me the solution and now the app functions flawlessly. By far the best Facebook app available. Great job devs.
- great app. friendcast pro.no ads and developer is fast to respond and fix any issue. had this for 2 years. its a must have. this is what FB should be. love how i can post pictures and video to your fav pages. Thanks onelouder for the fast fix. works butter smooth on Jelly Bean 4.1
- I've always used Tweetcaster and loved it. This app doesn't disappoint, either. It's by far the most complete third party Facebook app that I've tried. It's good to see one considering Facebook makes their Android app worse with every update.
- great app, but when the photo/video upload farts out on you, and fail constantly, clear data, cache, move to phone back to SD, and it should work again. amazing android app, worth the monies unlike the fail third party apps out there.
