Includes basic word prediction, error correction, microphone for multilingual speech-to-text. Continuous speech option for long dictations (4.1 Jelly Bean phones only.) Also includes large arrow (cursor) keys, adjustable keyboard height, adjustable click volume, adjustable vibration feedback and themes.
Themes include font color combinations, image backgrounds, and themes designed for the handicapped community - in particular people with diminished vision, tremors, and other nerve and muscle disabilities.
Big Buttons uses standard QWERTY for landscape (two-handed) operation.
Important - you must install BB or it won't work. Press the blue & white BB icon, then press "Installation - Important" at the top of the menu and follow the two installation steps. It's easy.
Note: If any download from the Android Market hangs, go to your: Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Market: Then Clear data and Clear cache. Then try to download again.
Also, when installing any Android keyboard, you get a scary warning: "Attention - This input method may be able to collect all the text you type, including personal data like passwords and credit card numbers..."
Don't worry. Big Buttons Keyboard does NOT collect ANY of your information - check our permissions. Big Buttons Keyboard does NOT access things like the internet, your email, text messages, etc. Big Buttons Keyboard's sole purpose is to function as a great keyboard.
If you do not want Big Buttons Keyboard to automatically learn and store new words you type into it's dictionary, then do not turn on the "Word Learning" option.

- My fingers go straight to the correct keys even though there are only five buttons to a row which is why it can be so big! I updated to the deluxe for the predictive text and the choice of skins. I use the black one with the neon green. At first I had to reinstall it(change the keyboard preference from default)almost every time I used it and It crashed my phone a couple of times and a few other crazy things. I was about to give up and then it started working correctly..go figure...so don't give up on it too soon because it is worth it! I'm hoping that the skins will be updated so that the function key are a different color or shade than the letter and number keys. I would easily give it a five except the dictionary is too basic. The main problem is that it does not recognize plurals or suffixes and must be added tothe learning dictionary. However, I guess in order to do this, they would need to add a lot of permissions and I don't like those that can read my phone,etc. Heck, I like it so much I'll just go ahead and give it a five!
- I can type very fast on a real keyboard but on almost all phone keyboards I make errors because the keys are too small. Big buttons keyboard makes it easy for me to type without errors. Also I like the deluxe version because I can easily add words to the dictionary that I use a lot (for example, my email address). I especially like the button on the keyboard that hides it so that if I can't see what I need to on the screen, I can hide the keyboard, see what I wanted to see and then go back and finish typing. Most keyboards are missing arrow keys and a forward delete key (they have a backspace but no delete). If you long press the shift key, you get a keypad with arrows and delete keys. Great when you are trying to move around and edit existing text. I love this keyboard. In landscape mode, I can almost touch type on it.
- The keyboard is awesome! The voice to text speech is incredible. In fact I'm using it right now to write this review! I'm using an Android 2.2 and the reason people are having trouble with the voice to text is you have to go into settings after you install the deluxe version and switch to deluxe version. I'm completely amazed the keyboard also has navigation keys so you can navigate through your text and edit. This keyboard is definitely well worth every penny!
- This is an amazing app for those of us with "fat fingers" or diminished vision. I could not imaging using my smart phone without Big Buttons Keyboard. Congratulations to Chicago Logic Inc. for a wonderful app. Keep up the good work.

- With he new themes its as close to perfect as possible. I use the easy to see version, not the best looking of the themes but is very easy to see and use!!
- exactly what I was looking for! The key size is just enough larger that I don't have so many typos as witj all the other keyboards available for android.
